The property owner engaged FMK Architects to provide a vision for the site and prepare a rezoning application submittal to entitle the project for the unlimited height and area of the Urban Mixed-Use Zoning (UMUD) category. Given the prominent location along the I-277 loop, the project vision placed a priority on being a gateway image for the northeast corner of downtown Charlotte.
The project was planned at 37 stories comprised of ground-level retail, 7 parking levels, a mid-tower amenity level with 28 residential floors and 360 units above.
