Story: Situated on a beautiful, wooded, 22-acre site with fantastic but limited river frontage, the site planning for this luxury apartment community was the first challenge.
The solution involved creating major view axes that focus on a combination of new buildings and existing legacy trees. Designed in strict compliance with the Town’s traditional-neighborhood-development-based Planning Code, the design utilizes smaller scaled, 2.5 story, low-country-inspired apartment buildings that front on primary streetscapes along both axes while also respecting existing protected wetlands and nearby existing single-family homes. The shared Meeting Facility with pool and Pool House / Outdoor Kitchen simultaneously occupy the terminus for one major view axis and the portion of the site with stunning views of the adjacent coastal river.
